Setup and Launch

One player stands up front β€” they're the goalie. Everyone else prepares an offer: a character and an opening line for a scene. Agree on the pace: the goalie gets 3–5 seconds per response.

After roughly 10–15 offers, rotate the goalie.

How It Runs

  1. Players bombard the goalie with offers one at a time, keeping a high tempo. Each offer names a character and delivers an opening line.
  2. The goalie reacts immediately β€” acknowledges the character, snaps into a contrasting character, and replies to the opening line. No thinking, just go.
  3. After 3–5 seconds the goalie freezes, and the next offer hits right away. No pauses between rounds.
  4. After 10–15 offers, swap the goalie and repeat.

Key rules

  • Offers come one at a time, at a rapid pace β€” each names a character and an opening line.

  • Offer format: brief, one idea β€” a character plus one line to respond to.

  • The goalie gets 3–5 seconds to react, then freezes.

  • Next offer fires immediately β€” no pauses between rounds.

  • After 10–15 offers, rotate the goalie.
