Setup and Launch

A two-person warmup. One is Actor A (the feeder), the other is Actor B (the picker). Keep the pace brisk β€” no long pauses.

Play

  1. Actor A names 3–5 locations.
  2. Actor B picks one.
  3. Actor A names 3–5 characters.
  4. Actor B picks two.
  5. Actor A invents as many conflicts as possible between those two characters in that location.
  6. Swap roles: now B feeds, A picks.

Key rules

  • Don't judge your own offers β€” take the first thing that comes.

  • A conflict is a clash of desires, goals, or values β€” not just an argument.

  • The picker trusts their gut, doesn't hunt for the "best" option.

  • Pace beats quality: a long pause kills the warmup.
